FAQs
Explore the frequently asked questions and answers about our products and services.
What is the difference between turntable scanning and free scanning?
The turntable scan is done with a built-in rotating platform, while free scanning uses a tripod (which needs to be purchased separately). Free scanning has a larger range. The SEV2 does not support object marker point scanning.
Can the scanned files be directly processed?
If the scan is for engraving, it can be directly used for engraving programming and imported into an engraving machine for processing. The same goes for 3D printing; slicing software can directly operate on the STL file for 3D printing. If it's for mold processing, reverse modeling is required to generate parametric surfaces or solid models, which are then used for CNC programming.
What is the minimum and maximum object size that can be scanned?
Objects as small as 2-3 cm can be scanned. In theory, there is no maximum size (limited by computer hardware performance). The larger the object, the more difficult the operation becomes.
What are the differences between the SE V2 and SP V2 scanners?
The SP V2 is faster, has a higher accuracy of 0.05, and can recognize marker points, which reduces limitations when scanning objects.
